This is a recap of the rooms and names that I have listed for Eagleman.
I'd like to check if we have a block of rooms large enough to accommodate everyone that plans on coming and that requires a hotel room booked by FeXY.

Here is the list - please reply if there is a change for your name or if you want to see your name added to either list.
I'll call the hotel to check on available rooms if we need more.

Did not think I was going to need a place to stay, but as it turns out I will need a place. Let me know if we have any extra rooms in the block or if someone is interested in sharing. Cheers.

Hey Sheldon, that should not be a pb.

Actually, we are trying to find a better location for the hotel.
2 options:
- Sallisbury: straight shot to race site on Rte 50 (45mn drive). Prices around $110-140. I have found quite some decent hotels with still some rooms available to accomodate a block of 10.

- Queenstown, MD: Chris is also checking on a group discount with Marriot since we are now reaching the group level of 10 rooms with you

Fall back: The hotel I originally booked is about 50mn drive too and I can probably add a room there too.

Ok Team, listen up.
For Eagleman racers (and family) we have a great opportunity to stay at a much better and closer place as a group.
 
With Neva and Sheldon joining the FeXY Crew requiring a hotel room, we are now reaching a "group level" number of rooms (>=10).
 
With the help of Chris, we now have an opportunity to stay at the Marriott Conference Center of Aspen.
First off let me communicate that this is not your standard "hotel". 
This is pretty neat hotel in that it is only open for company retreats or conferences and closed all other times.

- Rate / night: $99 + tax
- Room type: King bed (not double queen bed - families with kids may need 2 rooms)
- Stay Length: 1 or 2 nights as you wish
 
Details on accommodation:
 - We are going to be the only people in the hotel so there will not be any staff and one of us will need to drive up there Friday to pick up the keys for everyone. 
-> Reid and Chris will pick ip the keys on Friday (They will do an easy run/bike relaxing on Saturday versus sitting in traffic the day before the race).
 - The rooms are really cabins with 2-3 rooms per cabin but completely separate entrances for each room and they are set up just like a regular hotel room inside. 
It is really cool. 
 - They are also not set up to take and process individual credit cards so we will need to take either a FeXY Card or someone's card that can pay upfront $1000 or so and everyone would cut a check back to that person.
-> Who ever puts down their credit card won't actually be charged until the following week so all checks or cash should be paid in advance before the credit card gets hit.
 - They do not have a local restaurant but there are quite good restaurants within 10 miles. And we may be able to bring food (Chris will check - maybe even a BBQ? - To be confirmed later)
 
While this seems a bit complicated, Reid, Chris and I think this is quite a good opportunity to have a sort of FeXY Camp.
There's a huge benefit in that people could come back on the way home and grab a shower and hang for a bit (may have to double check that they allow a late check out as default is 12pm).
And we may be able to extend this offer to Non FeXY Racers and welcome Spectating friends and Family. To be confirmed.
Finally, it is much closer to DC so getting there would be much faster than driving all the way to Sallisbury
 
However we don't want to double the cost for folks so please let us know who is interested and who would rather stay in a regular hotel.

Thanks Fabrice and Chris for pulling this together! I am definitely in for the Marriot and can continue to split a room with you. I sleep better on the floor before races. This will be a major step up from the last time in Salisbury and the price isn't much different.
